This Instruction is intended to clarify some points about the Christian witness that Catholic schools should give in the modern world, especially encouraging them to intensify the culture of dialogue.

• The first part of the highlights the evangelizing mission of the Catholic school as the presence of the Church in the educational world.
• The second part deals with the function, with its multiple charisms donated by the Holy Spirit and with its hierarchical order, of the different protagonists of Catholic education.
• The third part is dedicated to some critical points that may arise in the exercise of Catholic education according to different circumstances.
• Finally, the Instruction as a whole reminds us that it is possible to contribute to the culture of dialogue without losing the Catholic identity.
